my brother said
I've kind of got nothing tonight. It's weird, 'cause my life is incredibly busy right now, but I can't think of anything interesting to blog about. I'm just running around a lot and getting home at 10 and wanting to do nothing but go to sleep, when I have to get on the computer and write something.
Oh I know something interesting. Reminder for tomorrow: talk about the presentation given at Tuesday's EWB meeting. That was pretty awesome.

the mother of all things
I met the boyfriend's dad for the first time ever tonight! He sounds EXACTLY like the boyfriend's impression of him. Good to know that boy is good for something.
Also, turns out he (the dad) is friends with the guy who runs my entire division at work. Hopefully nothing detrimental happened in their friendship that will make my namedropping end badly.
Oh also he's a really cool guy and I'm glad I'm not going to have to go through the whole ordeal of not liking my significant other's parents. That must be AWFUL.

good ol' days
I took the day off of work today to judge semester-long projects for IIT students. Not only was I done by 1:30 and got to go home, the presentations were really good! There was one sponsored by Exelon (biased, I know) about building greenhouses on site to put the thermal energy to use, and grow vegetables instead of just dumping the heat somewhere. I didn't get to judge that one, but it was impressive none the less.
