to you
oh hey guess who got a new job? i start in two weeks and all i can think about are the upsides of how cool this is going to be. and then i remember that my current job has no dress code, and i can walk there, and i can wake up at 8 and still be at work by 9, and how awesome my co-workers are. and then i think about how i'm going to have to wear heels and leave my house by 6:50 (hopefully 7 if all goes well) to be there by 8 and... stop. this is what the real world is like, right? it can't be perfect, or i'd live in my work building and do my shit in pajamas. considering the early morning-ness and the commute, i'm still pretty fucking amazingly excited.

yes, that kind of job is what i like to call a "real-person job". currently i have two "fake-person jobs," because i go to one at 10am three days a week in my jeans, and the other is more of a "hey we have some extra work lying around, get kat in here for a few random blocks of time this week" kind of thing.
you rock hard! good for you, being all awesome and getting rockin' grown-up business!
hey nora! i think all jobs should be done in their pajamas, ALL JOBS. that would rock so hard!
Hey, so I'm potentially going to shorten the length of the challenge, since it sounds like some folks are getting super busy once Summer hits, and things would just fall apart, however, I'm going around to see what folks think of this idea.
