those louses
A question posed in a New York Times's Opinion article, which actually had nothing to do with this question, and it kind of bothered me because I thought it would be interesting. So I'm posing it here:
“Was math invented or was it discovered?”
I'm leaning towards discovered, because there's so many universal laws in mathematics that someone invented a language for, but the truths are there whether or not there's a way to express it. It's like asking if someone invented physics, or if someone invented time.
